Important Bolt Sizes

DL1000

  • Front axle: 19 mm hex key (3/4" OK)
  • Rear axle: 24 mm nut
  • Oil drain plug: 17mm bolt (M14 x 1.25 x 12mm)
  • Counter shaft nut: 32 mm (1 1/4" works fine)
  • Crankshaft end nut: 17 mm (valve adjust)

DL650

  • Front axle: 12 mm hex key
  • Rear axle: 24 mm nut, axle head 22 mm open end wrench
  • Oil drain plug: 14mm bolt (M12 x 1.25)
  • Counter shaft nut: 32 mm (1 1/4" works fine)
  • Crankshaft end nut: 17 mm (valve adjust)

DL650


There is one known factory table torque that is suspect. This is the "engine mounting bracket bolt". (Circled in red.) 23 nm, 2.3 kgf-m or 16.5 lb-ft is recommended for these bolts. Same as on DL1000.
